How To Get Aloe Vera Gel From The Live Plant

Aloe Vera gel is so good for your skin, I felt I had to show how to get the gel easily from the plant. Here are the steps.

1) Cut a few leaves from the plant. Use the leaves that are closest to the ground. These leaves are more mature and will yield more gel.

2) Cut the thorny edges and the tips from the leaves.

3) Peel the leaves, seperating the two outer layers.

4) Scrape the gel from the tough green outer layer. Make sure that if there is any yellow gel that you remove it first. Yellow gel has much different properties than the clear gel and is not used for skin care.

5) You should now have fresh Aloe gel. Use it liberally on all of your body parts. For best results soak yourself in the gel before bed time. When you wake and take a shower your skin will be as soft as a babies butt.

Use the gel quickly as it's beneficial properties diminish rapidly once the gel has been exposed to air. Store in a sealed jar or baggie. Use within 24 hours to get the best results.
